Hunts . . .

Finch Mill Creek Farm offers guided bobwhite quail hunts amid typical South Georgia pine forest. The quail are pen raised flight conditioned birds released prior to the hunt.

You are driven to the field on a utv drawn hunting buggy. Once the dogs are released hunters and guide walk with the dogs until birds are pointed. After covey is flushed hunters may follow up singles depending on the terrain. A morning or afternoon hunt usually last about three hours.  At this time only half day hunts are offered.

Good walking boots, briar pants or chaps are recommended.  Dress accordingly for weather at time of the hunt.

Book a hunt

HUNTING AREA:   Gentle rolling hills with creek bottoms, a large lake, a recent cut-over and a mixture of plantation cut pines.
SHOOTING EQUIPMENT:  A reliable shotgun with field load (low brass) in size 8 or 7 1/2 shot.  Shooting glasses and hearing protection is recommended.
CLOTHING:  Wearing brush pants or chaps will protect your legs walking through the South Georgia briars.  A good pair of boots and hunters orange are recommended as well.

SAFETY:  Your safety is very important and therefore our number 1 priority.  All hunteres are expected to practice good judgement and safety while in the field.  Safety procedures will be addressed prior to each and every hunt. We want all our hunteres to have a great experience!
